International Olympic Day is celebrated on June 23 every year and it is an annual, global celebration. Every year, millions of people – of all ages and from all walks of life – get active and participate in sporting, educational and cultural activities, encouraging them to enjoy and benefit from sport. Olympic Day is an annual spectacular event organized by the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China (SF&OC) to celebrate the establishment of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and at the same time, to promote “Olympism” to the public. This year, 3km Fun Run and Family Run will be opened for application by individuals and families. On top of that, SF&OC will specially organize a sports carnival by combining the elements of sports trial, sports demonstration and booth activities.
The purpose of the event is to encourage people from the community to undertake regular physical activity, to promote the idea of “Sport for All” and to implement the theme of Olympic Day “Move, Learn and Discover”. We welcome all to enjoy the fun of running for and an energetic, healthy and joyful Sunday!
